Wine Tastings at The Wine Library

Over the years our wine tastings have proved to be an excellent way of entertaining clients or friends in an enjoyable and informative manner.

The Blind Tastings - are designed to be informal and fun. Wines are chosen to fit your budget, (with or without your knowledge should you wish to take part!) - normally four white wines and four red wines. We would then produce a questionnaire sheet of a multiple-choice format for guests to select grape varieties, country and vintage for each wine. A brief talk prior to the tasting will be given to advise guests what they should look out for.

Tutored Tastings - For clients or friends with a genuine interest in wine, these evenings prove to be the most enjoyable and memorable. Once again based around a selection of wines from our list, tailored to fit your budget.

The talks are designed to be interesting and informative with an element of fun, and may be pitched at any level, depending on the wine knowledge of your guests.

We can comfortably accommodate up to 35 people at our premises or tastings can be conducted at your own venue. The room is available between 6-9.30PM Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

If required wine or champagne can be served on arrival, whilst your party gathers.

The whole evening should take no more than 2½ hours (including a light buffet of Pate and Cheese at £12.00 per head).

A room hire charge of £160.00 will be levied for each evening, payable in advance as a deposit. This will be forfeited for cancellations less than three working days prior to the booking date.

Price Guide

As a rough guide a tasting for 35 people including House Champagne on arrival, wines for tasting, buffet and room hire charge would be from £38 per head. For 20-25 people from £43-48 per head, and for 10-15 people £50-£55 per head. This price would not include any competition prizes.
