Tasting Notes
This premium cuvée of this well-known Grand Marque is named after one of the founders Léonie Duchêne and was put together by new owner Alain Thiénot and some of the retired cellar masters from the estate. From the same blend as Canards standard Non-Vintage, 40% Pinot Noir 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, but here the similarity ends, this spends at least year more on its lees in the cellar before being disgorged and has a richer dosage. In the glass this has a persistent fine mousse an attractive creamy nose, with hints of tropical fruit and a soft quite rich biscuit and yeasty palate.
