Attis Albariño Lias Finas 2020 Rias Baixas
If you like Albariño the stunning white peach and saline, mineral flavoured Attis Lias Finas is not to be missed.
Attis was set up by brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña along with French winemaker, Jean François Hebrard, sourcing local varietal from unique terroirs. Their Albariño Lias Finas comes from old vines, up to 50 years old, in a site facing the Atlantic in the Val do Salnes subregion of Ras Baixas. The thin sandy clay soils sit above granite making the vines put down deep roots looking for nutrients and the cold, salty sea breezes keep it fresh and add saline notes and balancing acidity to the white fruited creamy palate.
The grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed crushed and settled at low temperature and fermented naturally. The wine spends 6 months on it’s lees, a mix of tank and large oak vats with regular lees stirring which adds real depth to this lovely Albariño
