The old Chateau de Moulin â Vent is owned by the Parinet Family since 2009. Since then they have rebuilt the cellars and initialised a replanting scheme, the vines are still on the whole old averaging 40 years. The Yield are particularly low by design averaging 6 to 32 hectoliters per hectare,normal yields for the region are between 45 and 50. Their vineyards extend to 91.5 acres and are farmed organically though not certified
The Couvent des Thorins comes from the southfacing slope under the famous Windmill, the soils are red clay over granite and rich in manganese giving structure and depth to the wine.
