Our latest addition from the San Marzano stable is this delightful Vermentino hailing from vineyards in the hills around Brindisi. The slight elevation of 100 metres and the proximity to the sea, provide the perfect temperate micro climate for the Vermentino grape to thrive. Vermentino is not a local grape it originates from Spain, arriving in Italy in the 1900’s, also grown in Provence where its known as the Rolle. Fermentation and lees aging take place in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and the delicate mineral and floral notes.
The result is a beautiful straw colour with aromas of white flowers and citrus fruit. The fresh, mineral laden palate abounds with citrus fruits and subtle hints of thyme an
