Description
Château de Berne has a long winemaking heritage, with traces of vine-growing dating back to Roman times. Today, the estate extends over almost 510 hectares of unspoilt countryside, of which, 150 hectares are dedicated to the vine. The vineyards are located in the Haut-Pays region, known as the ‘Provence of the Interior’, where the terroir consists of chalky limestone hills and valleys. Château de Berne is committed to protecting the natural environment, as well as the people who work there, and holds
the High Environmental Value Level 3 sustainability certification. Since February 2021, the estate vines have also been certified as organically grown. Oenologist Alexis Cornu crafts wines with respect for nature and mankind, while fully expressing the Mediterranean terroir. The elegant wines offer aromatic complexity, remarkable finesse
and are full of character. The square bottle is the emblem of Château de Berne, referring to the two-18th century square towers at the entrance of the estate.
