Description

Château Villeneuve sits on an escarpment overlooking the River Loire, its winemaking history dates to the 16th century. It is run by Jean-Pierre Chevallier, an ex tutor of Oenology at Bordeaux University. His 25 hectare of organically farmed vineyards are planted on chalky soils, which gives minerality and freshness to the Cabernet Franc, the Vieilles Vignes cuvée comes from three plots of 65-85 year old vines which is aged partly  in barriques and 500l large barrels to keep the vibrant fruit.
