Description
Bordeaux is oft overlooked as a great source of Rosé, with the flood of pink coming from Provence; this comes from vines in the Première Cotes de Bordeaux region close to the Garenne River. Made from 100% Merlot planted on chalky clay soil. The grapes are picked early pressed immediately and fermented as a white wine in stainless steel resting on its lees for a further 4 months before bottling.
Chateau Haut-Rian is an 85 hectare sustainably farmed and bee friendly estate in the Premier cotes de Bordeaux and Entre Deux Mer regions of Bordeaux; the wedge of land between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers. Bought by Michel Dietrich in 1978 and now run by his daughter Pauline.
