Description
Cristom Vineyards was founded in 1992 by Paul and Eileen Gerrie, in the Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette valley in Oregon. The estate is now run organically and biodynamically by their son Tom and daughter Cristine and extends to five separate vineyards planted mostly with Pinot Noir and some Chardonnay.
Their Mount Jefferson cuvée is a blend of Pinot Noir fruit from their 5 vineyards along with 28% of fruit from their neighbours. The wine is 52% whole bunch fermented using natural yeasts and is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Vibrant fresh red pinot fruit with fine tannins, complex and very long. Drinking now but will cellar well too.
