Description
Juliénas is nestled in the granitic foothills of the Haut Beaujolais, where steep slopes range from 20% to 45%, with poor, rocky soils.
Domaine de Boischampt, created in 1642, takes full advantage of its heritage, with 15 hectares in production on a pristine terroir of blue stone soils. Under new ownership since 2018, the property is now certified organic. This is sourced from their highest lying Gamay vines, fermentations are spontaneous in a mix of tank and 500l Austrian oak cuves they are bottled with no fining or filtration, and sulphites are used only at bottling .
