Description
Domaine de Colonat is run by Thomas Collonge, 7th generation owner. His 12 hectare estate is spread across seven differing Beaujolais Appellations.
This lovely Beaujolais-Villages comes from a southeast facing slope just north of Villé Morgon. The vines are 15 years old planted on granite, the resulting fruit is picked in several passes, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel with regular pumping over for extra colour and fruit extraction. The result is delicious, a bold colour and a nose of ripe dark fruits with mineral notes and a long enticing palate.
