Description
Mélanie Pfister is one of the new stars of Alsace making a range of delicate, dry but exquisitely complex wines from her old family estate in Dahlenheim in the hills to the west of Strasbourg.
Mélanie’s elegant Pinot Gris Furd from the Furdenheimer Tal vineyard has a rich, aromatic depth but still retains the Pfister purity.
Mélanie took over from her father in 2001 after internships at Zind-Humbrecht, Méo-Camuzet, Cheval Blanc, d’Yquem and Craggy Range. A new cellar was completed in 2010 enabling her to vinify each of her 43 parcels of vines separately and in 2018 she began converting to organic farming certified in 2021.
