Description
Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne founded in Ay by Pierre Gosset in 1584 over a 100 years before the first Champagnes, as we know them, existed.
Since 1993 the House has been owned by the Cointreau family who have faithfully preserved the house style, making wines of great freshness and age ability by withholding malolactic fermentation in all their wines. With 140 hectares of vines spread across the various regions of Champagne enabling them to maintain the quality of this famous old house.
The delightful Gosset Grande Rosé NV is perfect example of the elegance of the Gosset House style, made from Chardonnay 48%, Pinot Noir 27%, Meunier 16%, with 9% still red wine added for the colour, the wine is typically aged a minimum of 4 years before disgorgement and an 4g/l dosage added.
