Description
Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne founded in Ay by Pierre Gosset in 1584 over a 100 years before the first Champagnes, as we know them, existed.
Since 1993 the House has been owned by the Cointreau family who have faithfully preserved the house style, making wines of great freshness and age ability by withholding malolactic fermentation in all their wines. With 140 hectares of vines spread across the various regions of Champagne enabling them to maintain the quality of this famous old house.
Their delicious Grande Réserve NV is perfect example of the Gosset House style, made from predominantly red grapes 45% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier, typically aged between 4-5 years before disgorgement and an 8g/l dosage added.
