Koelenhof Winerywas founded as a co-operative in1941 is a renowned wine-producing estate located in the picturesque Stellenbosch region of South Africa. The Winery is run by Andrew Smit de Vries with a strong commitment to sustainable winemaking practices.
The Director’s Reserve is a full flavoured Pinotage made from 22 year old vines planted on Tukulu and Dresden soils on a base of shale. The wine is aged for 18 months in 300 litre French Oak barrels. The resulting wine is full bodied, ruby red colour, aromas of fresh cherries and hints of spice accompanied by red fruit and mocha on the palate.
