Description

Matias Riccitelli set up his winery in 2009 having worked with his father Jorge a renowned winemaker and several top wineries in the region. With small parcels of vineyards in Luyan de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco mostly at high altitude he makes an impressive selection of wines.

His Not Another Lovely Malbec is a total misnomer as its 100% Malbec and lovely!

Made from high lying vines farmed organically, not certified, on rocky limestone soils, at 1,100-1,400m up in the Valle de Uco. 50% is whole bunches 50% destemmed grapes are fermented with their natural yeasts in concrete tanks with gentle punching down for colour and fruit extraction.

The wine is fun and juicy with attractive fruit and gentle tannins – lovely.
