Description
Mendel Wines was created in 2003 a joint venture between, star Argentinian winemaker Roberto de La Mota and the Sieleki family. The heart of the estate are their vineyards in Mayor Drummond in Lujan de Cuyo where the vines date back to 1928. The vineyard holding expanded further adding the two further Fincas in Lujan de Cuyo and two in Altamira in the Valle de Uco.
Mendel’s very attractive Apertura Malbec come from their various estates in Lujan de Cuyo aged in 50% oak barrels and 50% stainless steel. With lovely ripe red and black berries on the nose and palate with hints of chocolate and spices,
