Description
Miguel Torres arrived in the Curicó Valley in 1979 and now farms 350 hectares of vines certified organic since 2012. This comes from an old vineyard at the foot of the Andes planted with ungrafted Cabernet Sauvignon vines in excess of 100 years old. It is named after the father of winemaking in the Curico Valley Don José Manso de Valasco.
This is impressive in an almost Californian Cabernet style with plenty of mineral chocolaty dark berried fruit, ripe tannins make this approachable but it will keep well given the chance.
