Description
Pierre Desroches took over his family estate in 2005, with twelve hectares of organically farmed vines around the village of Solutré-Pouilly.
His Pouilly-Fuissé comes from several plots on the slopes under the high cliffs of la Roche de Solutré. The grapes are hand picked and sorted. Whole bunch fermented with their natural yeasts in a mix of stainless steel (70%) and the remainder in used oak barrels and aged 9 months on its lees before bottling.
The palate is fresh an inviting with red apple with hints of peach the oak is very much in the background balanced by minerality and lemony acidity.
