Description
Pietro Caciorgna cut his teeth making wine in the Marche and Tuscany his first production here on Mt Etna was in 2013. We love his fruit forward, pretty Guardoilvento red and white, think Burgundy and Chablis.
Guardoilvento blanco is made from from 90% old Carricante vines with some Catarratto, Inzolia and Minnella, planted in the Contrada Marchesa area of Mount Etna. The vineyard sits at 750m above sea level. The vineyards are farmed organically but not certified as such.
An enticing delicate floral nose with citrus notes and elegant red apple and yellow plum palate with good lemony acidity and classic Etna minerality, lovely!
