Crognolo is the first wine of Tenuta Sette Ponti, produced since 1998 by the Moretti Cuseri family. The lovely 2022 vintage is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot from 30-35 year old vines. A lovely ruby red colour in the glass is a prelude to an intense and complex nose rich in red fruits and floral notes of violets and herbs. The palate is structured and complex with good minerality and a lovely roundness. Drinking really well now, It will certainly reward those with the patience to cellar.
