Tasting Notes
The charming David Nieuwoudt is fast becoming recognised as one of South Africas top winemakers. His Cederberg vineyards grown at an altitude of more than 1000 m above sea level, are South Africa’s highest lying vines, benefitting from a cool continental climate, with snow in winter and northwesterly breezes in the hot summers, making this dramatic landscape the ideal terroir for Sauvignon. An excitingly crisp wine with a highly concentrated palate of gooseberry & green fig, hints of grass and a stunning minerality. This would Whup most Kiwi sauvignons in its price range and above. A multi award winner including a Double Gold Veritas one of SA top awards.
