Tasting Notes
This is sourced from one of Rueda's highest vineyards (809 meters up near the village of Pozal de las Gallinas in central Rueda) by Bodegas Abanico, modern day negociants, buying in small parcels of top fruit from a network of small growers. The grapes from the white stoned 'Piedra Blanca' vineyard were originally used to make a type of Sherry in the 1960's but the stoney soils and high altitude make for a delicious complex fresh, racy mouthful.
