Tasting Notes
This really interesting Pinot comes from high lying vines planted in the Grand Cru vineyard of Eichberg, The south east facing slope generates enough warmth to give good weight and depth to the Pinot Noir grapes, not always the case in Alsace. With a nose of mineral wrapped plummy fruit and a palate of ripe strawberries and plum stones with plenty of nice structure from the old oak casks and the clay and limestone soils. Impressive!
