Tasting Notes
How things come around again, this was the first Pouilly Fumé we sold here when we opened in 1988, there’s been some Sauvignon under the bridge since then but good to have it back. Michel Redde started expanding his families vineyards in the 1950’s finally building a winery he called La Moynerie in 1966. The estate now extends to 42 hectares in Saint-Andelain, one of the best sites in the AC, run by his grandsons Sébastien and Romain, farming organically and with a light touch to the winemaking. The La Moynerie is from 15 year old Sauvignon vines grown on the red flinty soils after a cool fermentation in tank it spend up to a year on its lees giving it extra texture and complexity. Better than ever.
