Tasting Notes
This excellent value Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva is made from grapes bought in from long standing growers by the old Italian wine company of Botter, originally set up in the 1920’s as a wine merchant supplying local restaurants, growing to supply wine merchants worldwide. From 100% Montepulciano grapes which spend 7/8 days macerating on the skins for colour extraction and then fermented in stainless steel before being run off into barrels for a year’s aging plus another year’s aging in tank before release. Vibrant savoury spicy dark fruits and warm oak make this very attractive.
