Tasting Notes
The very talented David Clouston, shortlisted for Australasia’s young winemaker of the year 2012, makes a superb range of wines under his Two Rivers of Marlborough label; David selects the finest parcels of fruit from the banks of both the Wairau and Awatere rivers, the best sub-regions in Marlborough, crafting wines that express the different microclimates peculiar to these two rivers. His wines are typified by their elegant though vibrant fruit and subtle balance. This a blend from both valleys, thus the Convergence name, is a superb example, partially aged on yeast lees in French oak for three months for extra depth, this is full of ripe fruit with bright acidity and lovely minerality.
