Description
Achille Boroli is the 2nd generation to run this excellent Barolo estate. The Family own the entirety of the Cru of Brunella, the vines surround their hilltop winery facing south, east and west. The perfect exposure, 40 year old vines and classic chalky clay soils all conspire to make their most powerful wine.
The vineyard is divided into micro-parcels which enables them to pick each at optimum ripeness. Each parcel is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, the cap of skins is submerged to extract more colour, flavour and aromatics. Again, the wines are aged separately for 18 months in wood before blending and a further year’s cellarage before release.
