Château La Coste Grand Vin Blanc 2024

£39.99

A stunning blend of Vermentino and Chardonnay a must try for lovers of fine white Burgundy.

Description

The stunning Château La Coste vineyard, hotel and art collection is owned by Irish property magnate Paddy McKillen. Spread across 600 acres of vineyards, olive groves, and woodland to the north east of Aix en Provence.

The impressive, powerful Grand Vin Blanc represents the pinnacle of Château La Coste’s craftsmanship. Sourced from their finest plots and vinified with meticulous attention, these cuvées offer depth, structure, and remarkable ageing potential.

Produced from old-vine plots of Vermentino and Chardonnay at the highest altitudes of the estate, the Grand Vin Blanc is de-classified to an IGP wine due to the inclusion of Chardonnay into the wine.

Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in barrels, with gentle stirring on fine lees to enhance depth and texture. The wine is aged for 8–10 months in a mix of new and one-wine oak barrels, then blended and bottled in a single batch before resting 6 months in bottle.
