Description
This impressive estate is run by charismatic, 4th generation owner and winemaker Bernard Ott. With long established vineyards, mostly planted with Gruner Veltliner, in and around Wagram all farmed organically and bio-dynamically.
Bernard‘s Der-Ott is a blend of his four 1ÖTW Erste Lagen (1er cru) vineyards: Spiegel, Stein, Rosenberg, and Kirchthal. The vines are between 10 and 35 years old. 100% hand-harvested, basket pressed, and spontaneously fermented and aged in large Stockinger oak casks.
The result is stunning, intense and rich with a mineral spine and real length.
