Description
Villa Carminucci was founded by Giovanni Carminucci in 1928 and now run by his son Piero, who converted the 45 hectares vineyard to estate bottling in 1999. Piero’s Pecorino comes from the DOCG rated Offida region and the vines sit between 200-300m up with some cooling sea breezes rolling in from the nearby coast.
The fruit is given a long cold maceration before fermentation to extract the classic aromatics of the grape the further aging for 3 months on its lees in stainless adds to its complexity.
Really fresh and aromatic on the nose with a palate of pear and zippy lemony acidity, very good!
