Description
Eric Forest is the 8th generation to run this excellent, small domaine in Vergisson the most northern of the four villages that make up the Pouilly-Fuissé Appellation.
Eric owns 2.16 hectares of the Les Crays vineyard, his vines were planted between 1930 and 1966 and are sited, south facing sitting under the high crag that dominated the village giving shelter from the cold north winds. The old vines and this exposure give good body and weight countered by the acidity and minerality from the limestone soils make this an impressive glass. Ley Crays is one of 22 new 1er Crus permitted from the 2020 vintage. Eric ferments this in barrel and ages it on its lees for between 10-15 months before bottling.
