Description
This delicious fortified red wine comes from the tiny Maury Appellation in the foot hills of the Pyrenees in the north west of the Rousillon region.
Robert and Cathy Pouderoux own 20 acre of very old organically farmed vines here. The Maury Vendange is is made entirely of Grenache fermented till only about 5-8% alcohol then the fermentation is arrested by the addition of grape brandy keeping the natural sweetness but adding warmth and power to the vibrant red fruits. Stunning with blue cheese or chocolate desserts.
