Description
Finca Allende was founded in 1986 by Miguel Angel de Gregorio and his sister Mercedes, in a 17th century palace in the hilltop town of Brionnes overlooking the winding Ebro River. His vineyards are mostly northeast and northwest facing feeling the cooling influence from the Atlantic breezes.
His lovely oak wrapped stone fruited white Rioja is made from bush trained Viura and 5% Malvasia with an average vine age of 55 years old. Fermented in new French oak barrels at 20° for 28 days then further aging in oak for 14 months, on their lees for the first 7 months and the without for the last 7 months.
