Description
Laurent Cognard’s Origines comes from the ‘En Barre’ vineyard one of the few pushing for 1er Cru status, the vines there were planted in 1935 on limestone soils. The old vines give richness and north east facing site gives balance and restraint along with fine mineral notes from the limestone sub soil. This is a very impressive wine with a nice balance of acidity, it is drinking beautifully now and for a few more years too.
