Description
Bodegas Muga was founded in the town of Haro in 1932 by Issac Muga.
Their delicious Rioja Blanco is somewhat unusually fermented in French oak, a mix of large vats and new barrels. It is further aged for 4 months with lots of lees stirring to keep out the oxygen and give a complex mouthfeel. The blend is 90% Viura accompanied by Grenache blanc and malvasia.
The more delicate French oak allows the floral white fruited notes to emerge on the nose with pear and apple fruit wrapped in oak on the fresh palate.
