Description
Snapper Rock was founded by James Leary back in 2012, James used to drink at The Wine Library in his days at Lloyds of London. Nowadays the fruit for their Sauvignon Blanc comes from their new 8 hectare vineyard in Marlborough’s Waihopai Valley named the ‘ika’ vineyard after the Maori for fish. The fruit is given a cool fermentation in stainless steel under the supervision of consultant Cory Hall. The result is very attractive with a lovely balance of passion fruit, limes and fresh acidity but with enough restraint to make it work well with food too.
