Description

Tenute di Sesta has been owned by the Ciacci Family since 1850, their first estate bottlings were in 1966. At the time only 12 wineries estate bottled so di Sesta is considerd of great historical significance. Now run by Givanni Ciacci along with his son and daughter. Their vineyards are situated in the warmer south of the DOCG near the Abbey of Sant’ Antimo, running down the hill below their old castilated manor, down from 400 to 200m to the river Orcia.

Various parcels are picked and vinified separately in their modern cellar and mostly aged in large slovonian 30hl oak vats for between 2.5 to 3 years.
