Dave Clouston’s lovely multi layered Pinot Gris is back in 2023 after a three year hiatus, with a new name, Phoenix.
Sourced from two vineyards, one in Awatere and one in the Wairau valley, the handpicked fruit was fermented in stainless steel to retain the fresh pear fruit. With notes of toasted pine nuts, herbs and Turkish delight notes with a nice mineral dry finish this is drinking beautifully.
