The ancient and largely unchanged land of Sicily is truly reflected in the wines of Baglio Gibellina.
The delicious blend of Frappato and Nero D’Avola is made from old vineyards between 300 and 600 metres above sea level. The Frappato grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to impart freshness and vitality to the wines. The Nero D’Avola grapes are left on the vine to gently wither which gives concentration, richness and complexity.
The results are a deliciously drinkable wine which displays bright, Intense red fruit on the nose. The palate is warm and full bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth, elegant tannins.
