Description
Quinta de la Rosa has been owned by the Bergquist family since 1906. Situated on a bend in the Douro near Pinhão in the famous Cima Corgo region. The vineyards extend to 60 hectares from the banks of the river to over 500 metre up. With both north and south facing vineyards with high elevation the estate has an enviable terroir variation.
This traditional LBV Port comes from old vine parcels near to the river given greater sun exposure. The grapes were foot trodden in granite lagars before aging in large oak tonels for four years. The result is dense and structured with wonderful fruit and vibrant tannins.
