A stunning Malbec from old vines in the La consulta sub region of the Uco valley
Altocedro was started in 1999 by top winemaker and entrepreneur Karim Mussi to highlight the wines of the La Consulta subregion of the Uco Valley.
His Reserve Old Vine Malbec comes from 49-67 year old vines. The low yielded fruit is fermented in small concrete tanks and then aged for 18 months in new French oak. The result is a knockout nose and deep colour and a full palate of savory soft dark berries, espresso and herbs with a graphite mineral and saline note to the long finish.
