We love Christophe Chavet's crisp unoaked Saint-Veran with red apple fruit and mineral backbone from Davayé’s limestone soils. Perfect summer drinking.
Domaine Michel Chavet dates from 1971 with 5 hectares of vines in the village of Davayé, the year the Saint Veran AOC was created, but the Chavet viticultural roots go back to the 1870’s.
The estate is now run by his son Christophe and has extended to 17 hectares with vineyard plots throughout the Macônnais.
