Frédéric Magnien makes the wines at his father’s estate Domaine Michel Magnien, The wines under his own name come from bought in fruit sourced from the best plots in the finest vineyards. Frédéric adopts a hands-off approach as much as is practically possible, enabling each wine to display its individual vineyard origins. His wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
This elegant Vosne-Romanée comes from 50 year old vines on a sandy, stony site on the hill above La Tâche. Obviously lacking the power of its near neighbour it still has the classic elegance of a good Vosne-Romanée.
