Laurent Cognard, Domaine is based in Buxy near Montagny. Having moved from the cramped cellars of the towns medieval jail to a state of the art winery and tasting cellar in the nearby Chateau de Buxy. His Domaine now extends to 18 hectares across Montagny, Mercurey and Loché in the Mâconnais.
Laurent’s impressive Pouilly-Loché ORigines is dedicated to his grandparents Odette and Raymond and come from half a hectare of southeast facing vines planted in1935 in the climat of Aux Barre. The old vines give plenty of richness and some good minerality which is preserved by aging in old 500lt barrels.
