Thierry Rodreguez founded Mas Gabinèle in 1997, after a career in the local wine trade, his twenrty hectares of vines, between 30-60 years old, are spread over 20 plots. His Faugères is made from 35% Grenache, 30 Syrah, 25%Carignan and 10% Mouvedre, planted on a mix of schist, grey, blue and ochre sandstone, the wine is aged for 12 months in a mix of new and one year old barrels.
Powerful dark and red fruits leap from the glass with classic wild herb notes and soft tannins a tremendous example of this oft overlooked Appellation.
