Massaya is a joint venture between Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, who have breathed new life into their old family vineyards with help from Frédéric and Daniel Brunier of Vieux Télégraphe and Dominique Hebrard ex of Ch. Cheval Blanc.
Their vineyards are situated 1000 metres up in the frost and disease free Beqaa Valley, whose cool summers and wet winters are ideal for viticulture. The vineyards are planted with Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Syrah with a bit of Tempranillo which goes into this attractive spicy gamey dark cherry fruited, very drinkable wine.
