Monte Bernardi Tzingarella 2020
A delicious 'super' tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Colorino
The Monte Bernardi estate is situated in Panzano, one of the best sites in the Chianti Classico region. Owned since 2003 by Michael Schmelzer who has invested heavily in its vineyards and cellar, the results are impressive. The estate extends to 45 hectares but only 15 are under vine, mostly farmed organically and biodynamically.
Their attractive full bodied Tzingarella (Little gipsy Girl) is an entising blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40%Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5 % Colorino an old tuscan grape giving good colour and fruit.
