Mundo Reves Petit Voyages Blend de Blancas 2022
A interesting skin contact blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Tocai Fruliano from Argentina's Uco Valley
Mundo Reves is a joint venture between two French winemakers, Quentin Pommier who makes the wines along with Thibault Lepoutre whose day job is running two of Francois Lurton’s estates in the Uco Valley.
Thibault and Quentin source fruit from across the Uco Valley, their Petit Voyages white is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc from Gualtallary, Semillon from Tupungato and Tocai Fruliano from Los Chacayes. Each varietal is fermented separately, in contact with their skins until the last third of this fermentation process. Then, the wine is racked and the skin pressed. The fermentation finishes slowly without skins. After six months of battonage, the wines are blended and bottled. The skin contact gives a deep colour and real complexity to the palate a really interesting and complex wine with freshness and length.
