Barolo specialist Pietro Ratti makes this delicious wine from vines surrounding his imposing family villa situated below the hilltop village of Costiglione d'Asti. Only 6000 bottles a year produced of this little beauty, now from the 2018 vintage, made from 100% Barbera were as previously a little Merlot was added. So now entitled to the full DOCG of Barbera d'Asti Superiore. Aged for a year in barriques. Lovely dark plummy fruit leaps from the glass and draws you in to the soft rounded yet fresh red and black berry fruit with herbs and spice and nice oak on the finish.
